Borne by Varuna by J.U. Menon

Borne by Varuna shows how important it is to believe in yourself and challenge old traditions. Chitra’s journey from being banished to becoming a potential ruler is full of excitement and inspiration. As she faces various challenges and enemies, readers enjoy reading and cheering for her all the way.

If you enjoy stories filled with adventure, strong characters, and rich mythology, you should definitely read this book. It takes you on a thrilling journey through the ancient kingdom of Jalaka, where you’ll meet Rajkumari Chitra, a determined princess who challenges tradition to forge her own destiny. The story takes place in the ancient kingdom of Jalaka. The kingdom is in trouble because it doesn’t have a new ruler. The oldest princess, Chitra, is supposed to have a child who will be the next king or queen. But Chitra wants to be the ruler herself.

Things change when a prophecy leads to Chitra being kicked out of the kingdom. Instead of giving up, Chitra decides to take charge of her own future. She and her friend Saubha pretend to be boys and join a gurukul, which is a traditional school where they learn about leadership and fighting. Chitra works hard to win a special weapon called the Varunastra.

Fans of fantasy series like Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, and The Immortals of Meluha are going to love this story. It has all the epic battles, magical creatures, and intense personal growth, all in Indian mythology. The plot is engaging, with twists and turns that will keep you hooked from start to finish.I love the main character Chitra. Her journey is inspiring as she fights against societal expectations and faces numerous challenges. Her story is one of bravery, power, and self-belief.

This is an easy 5 star for me!

Highly Recommended
