I had wanted to read this book for a very long time only because of its intriguing and unique title. 'Hailee's Awakening'. I'm really glad that I went into this book not knowing much about it and I would definitely recommend that as you get the full immersive experience. I loved the weaving in of wisdom as the story progressed. I wanted to savour every word and loved how dreams, reality and spiritual path were intertwined. I loved hailee's character for so many reasons but one of them was so motivating and inspiring for me that how through her daily meditation practice, she build a strong connection. She felt 'higher wisdom' speak to her as she removed more obstacles of fear and doubt. She had this down to earth, disarming personality and felt most at home immersed in nature. She possessed a passion for the arts and tirelessly indulged herself in volunteer work for those less fortunate.
I loved this book so much. All the time I had goosebumps at every twist and turn. I have never read anything like that where Helen Slade managed to show women at their worst and also at their best. Hailee's physical and mental, wisdom and perseverance, strength, are so beautifully portrayed and so admirable and inspiring for me. The plot and word building was so enchanting and mesmerizing in a unique kind of way. The writing style was very lucid and fast paced, and also very easy to understand complex descriptions of the story. The characters were very promising and likeable. I personally loved the teachings of hailee that how you can manage so much of chaos and still want to live with all the positivities around.
I love how Hailee Chose her priorities and didn't let anyone or any negativities bother her inside. How to feel a deep sense of letting go, absolute surrender. A deep sense of love, not just love but a deeper overwhelming sense of unconditional love that permeated every cell of her body. Complete acceptance.
On the whole the story was so entertaining, captivating. cute, and beautiful. The ending was also very satisfying.
