•Bullying among children is commonly defined as intentional, repeated hurtful acts, words etc. Bullying behaviour often emerges in childhood, and the consequences for victims can last a lifetime. Bullying often leads to greater and prolonged violence. Not only does it harm its intended victims, but it alsonegatively affects the climate of schools and the opportunities for all students to learn and achieve in school.
•Mariah Gets Bullied is a tale of what can occur while bullying persists and turns aggressive. This shows an uncommon yet necessary approach to stopping the bully. I love how the author portrays Mariah as she draws strength from her mother to deal with the bullying. Her bravery is why this story needs to read for..
I'm grateful the author offers suggestions for how to deal with this challenge and also advises parents of the warning signs that their child might be a victim of bullying.
•I think during modern times it's important to teach children how to not only stand up for themselves, but speak up if someone is harming them mentally, physically or emotionally.
This book helps children understand the power of standing up for yourself and in this case, standing up to your bullies.
•This is a very creative and exciting children's book. The tale is well written, and well-illustrated. Illustrations are really engaging and colorful. It was a fast and brief reading for me. I am sure children would enjoy reading it and learn a great lesson. This book has enhanced wonderful pictures that children will love it.
•Teachers can use this text as a resource to enrich class meetings; parents and caregivers can grow along with their children as they equip themselves with respect and resilience skills that'll help them soar socially and emotionally.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
